Recanati Special Reserve is the winery's Flagship wine. The making of this wine involves combining the best grapes at one's disposal each year with the newest and best oak barrels, meticulous attention to the smallest detail and an enormous amount of love and patience.
The result is a harmonious, rich and full-bodied wine with intense tannins and a balanced acidity that provides the wine with long-term aging potential. Flavors and aromas of black plums And black cherries, along with the spicy nuances developed during 19 months barrel ageing in new French oak, followed by a tantalizingly long aftertaste define this wine.
| Wine maker notes |
| This wine is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from two vineyards in Moshav Kerem Ben Zimra with Cabernet Sauvignon and a small amount of Merlot, both harvested in our vineyards in Kibbutz Manara.
The three vineyards are planted at an average elevation of 800 meters above sea level. The cool climate that prevails in this region and the stony, well drained soil create ideal conditions for growing these noble grape varieties. |
